Voulez Vous was created by perfumer Alberto Morillas. He recomposed a radiant Gardenia on an exquisite Sandalwood base.

When I launched my brand in 2007, my goal was to put perfumery back on its pedestal and return it to its former glory, the way perfumery existed in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
For me, perfume is the essential accessory of every man and woman. Each fragrance that I make is imagined and created as the ultimate way to express oneself and all the facets of our unique personalities' - Kilian Hennessy

Heir to a long line of cognac makers who were pioneers in luxury, Kilian decided to take up the torch of family tradition. Creating a new luxury brand was definitely a challenge worthy of his predecessors.

His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods.  Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels.

In 2007, Kilian launched his own namesake brand with the ambition of reflecting not only his distinct personality, but also to achieve a perfect alliance between elegance and uncompromising luxury. His “eco-luxe” philosophy that each bottle can be refilled and kept for a lifetime catapulted the brand to the top of the fragrance market and into a niche of its very own.

Wake up World / ♾️ by Parle Moi de Parfum

Wake Up World is a perfume in which you perceive a constant evolution without the theme changing completely. However, there is quite a clear development, especially in the first few seconds, which are particularly citrusy. I would say that after spraying, it is important to wait for the fragrance to develop for at least a minute before smelling the test strip.

You can consider it a unisex fragrance, even if it is a bit more masculine. As a fragrance, the first spray is an explosion that blows right in our faces, along the lines of 'hurry up, wake up, something is going wrong in the system.' As a more global message, it's clearly a denunciation of the global marketing system that makes people buy anything and everything, mainly based on what we're told, but not based on reality." - Michel Almairac, brand's founder.

Woman in Gold - the notes conjure, in scent, the delicate gold leafing and play between light and shadow, for which the painting is celebrated. Perfumer Calice Becker was inspired by the fascinating contrast between the painting’s facets, which she describes as 'texturised and brilliant, rich and voluptuous'. Its zesty luminosity is the fragrant expression of this brightness. The petal-y rose heart depicts all of the facets of the rose. Finally, vanilla absolute’s unctuosity appears generously in the dry down, adorned by an exclusive patchouli molecule, the Akigalawood.

Parle Moi de Parfum is all about family. Benjamin Almairac grew up with the stories about perfume that his father brought home from work. He dreamt of creating a venue right in the centre of Paris where the public could discover the finest fragrances that Michel Almairac had always dreamed of creating and staging. It was absolutely obvious! I was steeped in perfume when I was a boy. It was difficult to miss!

Together with Elisabeth, his mother, and Romain, his brother, he designed a space for witnessing the creation of a perfume and discovering that combination of magic and technique, of disconcerting ease and maddening complexity, that Michel describes when talking about his work.

The brand name is a clear declaration of intent: to talk about perfume and nothing else.

Amsterdam based founder Bram Niessink launched the unisex Fugazzi concept perfume house in 2019. The term ‘Fugazi’ is slang Italian/American for ‘fake’, an ironic name for a fragrance line that champions unique and real innovation. Less ‘fake’ and more an indulgence in ‘fantasy’, as this collection of Extrait de Parfum conjures desire, mystery, and personality. Fugazzi is completely unafraid to take risks, and a little tongue in cheek. Niessink took inspiration from his travels through Egypt, enticed by the myth of Cleopatra conquering Caesar with the use of ancient oils and juices as perfume.

Yakushima Incense by Astier de Villatte

There is a primeval and mysterious rain forest on the island of Yakushima, full of thousand-year-old cedar trees, covered with rare mosses and wild azaleas. A marvellous and delicate earthy aroma exudes from the dense and luxuriant vegetation, with its enormous Yakusugi trunks and limpid waterfalls.

The best incense in the world is found on the island of Awaji, due to its favourable climate. For more than a thousand years it has been made here by the Koh-shis or Masters of Aromas, a tradition passed down from father to son. They alone perfectly master the four stages of production: the dosage of exclusively natural materials, precious woods, herbs, plants, vegetable resins, and perfume; the kneading of the dough, pressed and worked for a long time, then left to stand for two weeks to soak up the fragrance; the cutting of the dough, rolled into long, narrow ribbons, to the desired size; then drying in the west wind for three days before bundling the sticks.

Precautionary measures:

Light the end of the stick with a match, blow out the flame and leave to smoke. Plant the stick in an incense burner or a bowl of sand. Do not use in a flammable environment. Do not leave burning without supervision. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Box of approximately 125 sticks.

Burning time 30 minutes each.
