Bitter Almond - Prunus Amygdalus
A shell fruit with velvety green inner skin, the almond is also the name given to the two grains it encloses. Its furtive aroma, reminiscent of barley water, cherry and hay, is sharp and bitter sweet. Endemic to Central Asia, the almond tree was brought to France in 1548. Its oil and paste have healed the skin and tempered intoxication since Antiquity. Also a beauty essential, almond denotes femininity and love.
Botanical candles, each with the profound scent of a single plant are poured by hand into a glossed, silk-screened glass. Each candle burns for up to 50 hours.
