Primarily known for their furniture design and tableware in white ceramic, the founders of Astier de Villatte met at the Beaux Arts school in Paris, where they spent their time compulsively sketching their surroundings and winning many academic accolades. They launched their company in 1996, making furniture, vases and fruit stands. In 2000 they opened their famous Astier de Villatte boutique at 173 rue Saint-Honore in central Paris.

Astier de Villatte offer a line of high-end perfumed vegetable wax candles.  Exclusive, natural and pure, these candles contain no paraffin or other petrochemical by-products. The unprecedented softness of their candle base is due to a mix of soy, oil, two secret plants and a tiny bit of beeswax, perfectly blended with the fragrance. Thanks to their woven cotton wick, they burn flawlessly for around 50 − 60 hours. They are biodegradable and environmentally friendly and come in the clear bubble glasses.
